Lawyers observe strike

VEHARI: On the call of the Punjab Bar Council lawyers of the District Bar Association observed a complete strike on Thursday.
Bar secretary Chaudhry Masood told reporters that the lawyers were protesting undue delay in establishing of benches of the Lahore High Court at divisional level.
13 prisoners released

VEHARI: District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Saeed-ul-Allah Thursday released 13 prisoners from the district jail who were in jail for petty offences.
The judge inspected various sections of the jail and issued necessary spot orders.
He also checked the jail’s kitchen and barracks. Jail Superintendent Syed Babar Ali Shah and other officers were also present.
2 INJURED: two people were injured in Chak 22/WB on Thursday.
In a petty clash Abdul Razq, 40, and Nisar, 50, got injured and were rushed to hospital.
