Better fuel
The recent revelation by Shahid Khaqan Abbassi, of low grade petrol being used in the country, at a meeting of the Economic Coordination committee– was disturbing. Pakistan has been using 87 RON motor spirit for the past twenty years while the world has moved on to higher RON petrol. This is why vehicles whittle down mileage and are inefficient.
Keeping in view the negative impact of low grade petrol on engines, the the need for the production of premium motor gasoline as well as import of high quality fuel is imperative so that we may have efficient engines and a cleaner environment around us. It is high time the petroleum ministry ordered the import and production of high quality petrol 92 RON, commonly known as Euro two, gasoline across the country.
