The SHC granted protective bail to land owners in a land allotment case.
Petitioners Mohammad Saleem and Saba had submitted that they had purchased 110 acres at Deh Babar band, Thano Bola Khan from one Shamsuddin in 2004 and paid all the requisite challans for the transfer of the land.
Their counsel submitted that NAB had issued a call-up notice to them in connection with the inquiry being initiated against ex-mukhtiarkar Asadullah Solangi and others and expressed apprehension that the petitioners might be arrested.
The court without touching the merit of the case granted protective bail to the petitioners in a sum of Rs5,00,000 each and directed them to surrender their passports before the nazir of the court. The court issued a notice to NAB and other deputy attorney general and directed the petitioners to cooperate with them in their investigation.
