Expensive medicine
By our correspondents

Drug manufacturing companies have increased the prices of life-saving drugs. Exorbitant prices of medicines in the presence of unsatisfactory health facilities in government hospitals are a great blow to the ill.
Due to the non-availability of healthcare facilities people are constrained to get treatment at private medical hospitals and clinics where they are charged terribly high fees by doctors, laboratory tests and room charges. The Pakistan Drug Regularity Authority should play an effective role in controlling the price hikes for medicines, especially those of life-saving drugs.
