Rangers foil robbery bid, arrest suspect
Karachi
The Sindh Rangers on Saturday claimed to have foiled a robbery attempt and arrested a suspect who is said to be involved in house robberies.
A spokesman for the paramilitary force said the Sindh Rangers had received a complaint at their helpline number from a citizen, residing in Nazimabad No-2, that some robbers had entered into a house and were robbing the family.
Acting on the information, a Rangers team rushed to the spot, which was engaged in a gun fight by the robbers.
A robber, identified as Shoaib, was arrested while his accomplices managed to make a getaway, the spokesman said, adding that a weapon was also found on the arrested robber.
The accused was later handed over to police for further legal action. The Rangers have requested the public to assist the security agencies for arresting suspicious elements.
