LAHORE: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan’s not going on Haj despite an announcement shows that he has some deal with the ‘devil’.

He said that Imran Khan had promised to perform Haj this year but he did not fulfill it.

Talking to media persons here on Monday, he said Imran Khan was standing alone and would remain alone regarding his march on Raiwind.

Without taking the name of Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, he said a politician from Rawalpindi said that there would be sacrifice on Eidul Azha and he himself bought a camel and went home.

He said the government had reduced the Haj charges this year. Speaking about the Haj arrangements for Pakistani pilgrims, he said the government had made splendid arrangements for the Haj pilgrims. He said the Hujaj had appreciated the facilities and arrangements of the government.

He said today everyone preferred to perform Haj under the government scheme because of better arrangements and less expenses. During the past government, the Haj expenses were very high, but the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, under the dynamic
leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, reduced the same substantially, he said talking to media here at DHA.

He felicitated on his own and on behalf of the PML-N leadership to all those who performed Haj this year. Maintaining its three years best track record, he said, the PML-N government had made the best Haj arrangements this year.

He said that Imran Khan had always been in isolation and would remain isolated in future as well.

He said Imran had made two promises of performing Haj and marching on Raiwind during the month of Zilhaj, but he had fulfilled none yet. As far as his first promise was concerned, he was not blessed by the Allah Alimighty to perform Haj as he seemed to have made some wheeling and dealing with the 'devil'.

The minister said the government had not stopped the PTI chairman from marching on Raiwind, but he was left alone as Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Awami National Party (ANP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), and even his political cousin (Dr Tahirul  Qadri of Pakistan Awami Tehrik-PAT) had opposed his march. He said Imran Khan could not get the blessings of Allah Almighty and could not get realised his dream of wearing a 'Sherwani'.

He said a politician from Rawalpindi, who had always been talking of 'sacrifice' on every Eid, had now purchased a camel worth Rs100,000 for sacrificial purpose.
