RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif said on Thursday that India had been violating the ceasefire agreement continuously and expressed the resolve that every inch of the motherland would be defended with full force and commitment.
General Raheel Sharif visited the forward locations on the LoC where he met soldiers.
He said that India’s continued ceasefire violations on the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary were an unsuccessful attempt to distract Pakistan from the war on terrorism.
General Raheel said the Pakistan Army was a battle-hardened army that had successfully handled two different kinds of wars and was capable of defending every inch of the motherland.
Expressing solidarity with civilians living along the LoC, the army chief paid rich tributes to their resilience and sacrifices while braving the Indian aggression.
He reiterated that the Pakistan Army will provide necessary assistance to all the civilians affected by the unprovoked Indian firing.
