Nawaz visits Chitral today
CHITRAL: All arrangements have been finalised to accord a warm welcome to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif here today.
“The welcome will be unprecedented as the people of the Chitral have decided to give a tumultuous welcome to the premiers due to his avowed commitment to the development of the valley,” said Member National Assembly Shahzada Iftikharuddin.
He said the Nawaz Sharif-led government had allocated record funds for the development of Chitral besides allocating sufficient funds for the Lowari Tunnel. “Over 55 billion uplift schemes have been okayed for Chitral which would usher in a new era of development in Chitral,” the MNA said.
“Chitral being the largest and strategic area needs special attention and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif realises it,” the MNA said, adding, the leaders belonging to all political parties would welcome the PM.
The MNA said that the premier wanted all roads in Chitral completed which key to the development of the region.
