Faisalabad doctors warn of strike if SHO not suspended
From Our Correspondent
FAISALABAD: Four associations of doctors have demanded immediate suspension of the Civil Lines SHO, otherwise the doctors and paramedics of all the government hospitals in Faisalabad would resort to strike from today.
Talking to The News here on Thursday, Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Faisalabad general secretary Dr Muhammad Irfan said that the Pakistan Medical Association, the Young Doctors Association, the Medical Teachers Association and the Young Nurses and Paramedics Association in their meeting demanded an impartial inquiry into the August 17 clash between the security guards and police at the Allied Hospital.
He said that a six-member inquiry committee constituted earlier was allegedly not finalising the inquiry. Dr Irfan said that sacking of the SHO and initiation of a judicial inquiry would pacify the doctors.
