Asks all parties to reach Lahore on separate containers

LAHORE: The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, on Sunday said the anti-Pakistan speech of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder Altaf Hussain was more venomous than the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking to the media here, the PTI chief said the enemies of Pakistan could not deliver such a speech that was delivered by the MQM founder, adding that there was no permission to deliver such speeches in any democratic country of the world.

Imran said Altaf should be sent to jail after filing a case against him in Britain, adding the Pakistani government should approach the British government against Altaf. He said a case under the law of incitement to violence should be filed against Altaf in Britain. He said the action of Altaf was against the laws of Britain. He said that no one could defend the speech of Altaf. He said the against the values of the British legal system.

Imran said a petition against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be filed in the Supreme Court today (Monday). He said solid proofs are present against Nawaz Sharif. He questioned why the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) did not take action against the prime minister. He said 56 percent fund of Punjab is spent on Lahore but everything was exposed during rainfall on Saturday.

The PTI chief said the party is preparing to stage a crowded march3. He said that he will invite all the political parties for consultation over PanamaLeaks issue. Imran said he will send delegations to all political parties.

He said the corruption can only be eliminated from country when the accountability will start from Nawaz Sharif. He said all political parties should reach Lahore on their separate containers. He said Nawaz Sharif is not responding on PanamaLeaks issue. He asserted that corruption can only be eliminated by holding accountability from higher officials.

To a question, he said the PTI would also ask the Supreme Court to take samples of 5,000 votes which Nadra has refused to verify. He said it is surprising that Nadra is unable to verify 100,000 votes out of 150,000. He claimed that he has information from sources inside Nadra that it was deliberately avoiding to verify the thumb impressions.

When asked to comment on Rs0.5m fine on TV channels for wrongly reporting about his marriage, Imran said it is a minor fine for TV channels. He pointed out that pictures have been published of ladies who are married and have children. He said media should verify before reporting such stories.
