Infrastructure development

The Punjab government is surely committed to all-round progress and development of the province and is dedicatedly working for the well-being of the people. This is evident from a recent decision of the provincial government to set up an Infrastructure Development Authority for accelerated development in the education and health sectors.

All this augurs well as infrastructure development not only facilitates transportation but also results in accelerated economic development. Hopefully, all those associated with the Infrastructure Development Authority will work in a determined, committed and professional manner.  Of course, accelerated development activities in various sectors will also generate employment opportunities for people in the areas where infrastructure projects are undertaken and completed. While welcoming all such measures for accelerating pace of development, one may ask the provincial authorities to provide some information also regarding the working relationship between such development authorities and the administrative departments both directly and indirectly.
