Those opposing country are not Pakistanis: Gilani

MULTAN: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has condemned hate speeches against Pakistan and said that those opposing and criticising the country are not Pakistanis.
Addressing the Pakistan People’s Party south Punjab workers convention here on Friday, he said that those criticising Pakistan had no right to live in the country. He said that his ancestors had sacrificed a lot for creation of Pakistan. He criticised Indian atrocities in the Held Kashmir. He said that the PPP was with the Kashmiris and would continue to raise voice for their rights at all forums around the world.
Later, addressing a press conference, former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that the government should explain it policies on the Kashmir issue. He said that the Indian atrocities on Kashmiris were violation of the human rights. He said that there was no category of good or bad Taliban. Gilani avoided commenting on extension of Gen Raheel Sharif’s tenure.
PPP south Punjab president Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood, PPP south Punjab information secretary Khawaja Rizwan Alam, PPP Coordination Committee member Abdul Qadir Shaheen, senior leader Malik Nasim Labar and others also spoke on the occasion.
APP adds: Former prime minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said that no one would be allowed to speak against the country, which came into being in the name of Islam. He said that the PPP had strengthened the country by making it a nuclear power. He said that the credit for making Pakistan an atomic power and giving a constitution to the country went to PPP founder chairman Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He said that they made sacrifices for Pakistan and went to jails and their real identity was with Pakistan. He stressed the need for strengthening institutions.
Gilani said that they were reorganising the PPP. He criticised PTI chief Imran Khan, saying that a vested group was around him.
