The son of renowned artist Noushaba is seriously ill, and Rs7million is required for his treatment. In this regard, Noushaba appealed to the provincial and federal governments and political leaders for their philanthropic support, while speaking at a news conference in Peshawar Press Club on August 18. She added that she sold her house for the treatment of her ailing son but could not come up with the amount.
Noushaba has been awarded the Pride of Performance, and has been working for the last four decades in radio, TV and stage. The government should play its due role in helping the needy artist. A fund must be created on a national level for the country’s artists.
