OGDC finds hydrocarbon

KARACHI: OIL and Gas Development Company (OGDC) has found significant reserves of oil and gas at its Nashpa well 6 and development well 7 in Karak district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, a statement said on Wednesday. “During testing, Naspha-6 produced 2,550bpd of oil and 16.3mmcfd of gas while Nashpa-7 produced 2,700bpd of oil and 7.4mmcfd of gas,” it added. “The wells flow (5,250bpd of oil and 23.7mmcfd of gas) is expected to be injected into the system by mid of September 2016.” OGDC and Pakistan Petroleum Limited have a respective post-commerciality stake of 57.24 percent and 27.76 percent.
