Protesters seek sewerage system repair

TOBA TEK SINGH: Locals of Bakhshi Park Tuesday took out a rally against the TMA over its failure to repair sewerage system.

The protesters raised slogans against the TMO and sanitary inspector at Shahbaz Chowk. Talking to reporters, they said dirty water had inundated their streets and houses for the last one month but nobody was willing to listen to them. Later, they reached the DCO office and demanded action against the responsible.

OFFICE-BEARERS: Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran, (Mohsin Idrees group) elected its office-bearers in a meeting on Tuesday.

Mian Zawar Hussain was elected as chairman, Falak Sher chief patron, Atif Randhawa vice chairman, Chaudhry Muhammad Akram president, Shafiq Zargar senior vice president, Haji Aslam Ghaffari and Saifullah vice presidents, Mohsin Idrees secretary general and Chaudhry Azmat Hussain joint secretary.
