GHALLANAI: The residents on Tuesday staged a protest against the unannounced and excessive power outages and demanded reduction in duration of power cuts in Mohmand Agency.
The residents of Prang tehsil gathered on the Yousaf Baba road and blocked it for traffic for three hours to record their protest against what they called unbearable loadshedding. The speakers said that step-motherly attitude was being meted out to the tribespeople.
They said that power was being provided to consumers in Prang for a few hours, adding, electricity voltage remained very low and they cannot run electrical appliances. They said that excessive power cuts and low voltage led to shortage of drinking water in homes.
