AMP leader among 18 booked for occupying house

OKARA: City A-Division police on Monday registered a case against the Anjuman-e-Mazareen Punjab (AMP) general secretary and 18 others on the charge of illegally occupying the house of a man.
In an application, Muhammad Anwar of Model Town alleged that 18 people, including AMP general secretary Mehr Abdul Sattar, Abdul Tahir, Zohaib Rehman, Saif Rehman, Tariq Mehmood, Abdul Jabbar, Sajjad alias Cheera, Azra Rabab, Robina Naheed, Abdul Sattar Chaman and Abdul Ghafoor, had allegedly occupied his house and resorted to aerial firing about eight months ago. It is learnt that the complainant remained silent for eight months due to the fear of the land grabbers.
The case has been registered under Sections 324, 447, 148 and 149 of the PPC and 7 of the ATA. It is worth mentioning that Mehr Abdul Sattar and Abdullah Tahir were already in police custody in other cases.
