DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has said that Pakistan can be made an exemplary state in the world with the dissemination of knowledge and learning.
He was speaking as a guest in the syndicate meeting of Gomal University Dera Ismail Khan held in Islamabad on Monday, said a press release.
Vice-Chancellor Gomal University Major-General (R) Prof Dr Hamid Shafique presided over the session. Officers from the Higher Education, Finance and Establishment Departments, Higher Education Commission and members of the syndicate also participated in the meeting.
Dr A Q Khan asked the provincial and federal governments to pay special attention to Gomal University and help it financially.
The known scientist said that he would keep cooperating with the administration of the university.
He appreciated the current agenda of Gomal University syndicate, which contained comprehensive reforms.
Earlier, the vice-chancellor informed the participants about the present agenda of reforms which, he said, would improve affairs at the university.
