PIA, PDS win matches in nine-a-side hockey

Karachi: On the third day Pakistan Cup nine-a-side hockey tournament, PIA defeated PAF by 3-2, PDS (Color) beat SSGC 2-1 at the Abdul Sattar Edhi stadium here on Wednesday.
In the first match, PIA took lead in the 5th minute through Haseem Khan on an indirect hit off a penalty corner. In the 27th minute, PAF’s Aijaz successful netted the first goal for his team to make it 1-1.
PIA took lead again in the 31st minute through Shafqat Rasool. Haseem extended the lead in the 32nd minute to keep PIA in control. PAF scored a goal in the 38th minute but the scores remain the same till the final whistle.
In the second match, PDS (Color) defeated SSGC 2-1. Forward Ilyas scored both the goals for the victors. The lone scorer for SSGC was Kashif Shah.
