Schools for the elite

I always read Ayaz Amir with interest because I usually agree with him. So I agree with him again when he says in his article, ‘The maulana out to reform education’ (Aug 4) that we should have a single education system for rich and poor and that we inherited a good education system from the British.
However, I beg to differ with him when he praises Aitchison College and Lawrence College. To me, these schools are meant for the privileged elite class which would never send their children to government schools. These elite institutions can of course produce successful people but can they produce good values?
