Walk against dengue
LAHORE
Punjab University organised an anti-dengue awareness walk at the varsity’s New Campus on Tuesday.
PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran led the walk which was taken out from Undergraduate Block to the Institute of Education and Research (IER).
Additional Registrar Dr Kamran Abid, Resident Officer II Malik Muhammad Zaheer, Chairman PU Dengue Research Group Prof Dr Saeed Akhter, Vice President Academic Staff Association (ASA) Prof Dr Abid Hussain Ch, General Secretary Dr Mahboob Hussain, a large number of faculty members and employees from various departments attended the walk.
The participants of the rally were holding placards and banners about awareness against dengue mosquito. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mujahid Kamran said PU had set up Dengue Research Group to curb the menace.
