New education policy to focus on minors
Islamabad
The new education policy will focus on the promotion of early childhood education.
This was stated by State Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Muhammad Balighur Rehman during the graduation ceremony of Informed Parents by Rupani Foundation.
The minister said it took the entire village to raise a child.
“Initial years of a child are very important in his or her developing cognitive abilities. Our government is specially focusing on early childhood education. We’d established the Academy of Education Planning and Management in Islamabad in 2013 with public private partnership for the research on early childhood education.
He said education was a devolved subject but according to the constitution, it was the responsibility of the center to provide a platform to all provinces to discuss educational issues.
“We conduct the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference every three months.
The course we take for the future of education is decided in these conferences,” he said.
