ISLAMABAD: After the Judicial Commission’s report was made public by the government, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has stopped its members from issuing statements in response to a resignation demand by the PTI chief.
A source in the ECP told Online that Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan has directed all the ECP members not to comment on PTI chief Imran Khan’s demand, unless each and every dimension of the commission’s report and Khan’s press conference were thoroughly examined“The ECP is working on a comprehensive strategy in this regard and all objections and allegations are being evaluated carefully before giving a befitting response,” the source said adding that the election body would clear all the misconceptions about its integrity.
