To enhance the role of paralegals in resolving conflicts at community level country’s first National Conference on Community Based Paralegals will be held here on today (Monday).
The conference will feature national and international paralegal practitioners, community representatives and government officials participating in different interactive sessions including dialogues, presentations, group and panel discussions seeking government’s support in recognising paralegals’ role as providers of justice services at community level.
The first National Conference on Community Based Paralegals is being organised by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with Rural Support Programmes Network (RSPN) under the Strengthening Rule of Law Project from July 25 to July 26 here at a local hotel.
A large number of national and international paralegal practitioners, community representatives will exchange knowledge, share experiences, map challenges, and agree on a unified way forward.
With participation of international experts, the conference will be particularly pertinent for national stakeholders who can draw on varied experiences and adapt them to their own
context.
