Seminar on Indian oppression in IHK held

On the directions of Minister of State, Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch. Capital Administration and Development Division
A seminar titled ‘Indian oppression in Kashmir and its Social impacts’ was organised by National Council of Social Welfare, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, chairman, National Council of Social Welfare, says a press release.
The seminar was organised on the directions of Minister of State, Dr. Tariq Fazal Ch. Capital Administration and Development Division. Hassan Iqbal, Secretary, CA and D Division has attended seminar as chief guest. The Seminar was also attended by the representatives of the Civil Society, NGOs, Students, Journalists, Intellectuals and Senior Hurriyat Leaders in Pakistan including, Tahir Masood, Faiz Naqshbandi, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Ms. Shaista Safi, Mehmood Sagar and Athar Masood Wani. The speakers said in their speeches that historically Jammu and Kashmir is the unfinished agenda of the partition. Due to unity and sacrifices of Kashmiris, the destination of freedom is very near.
Dr. Nadeem Shafiq Malik, Chairman, NCSW thanked the Hurriyat Leaders for attending the seminar and sharing their views. The Chairman highlighted the increasing scale of human rights violations in Kashmir by the Indian security forces. He further said the people of Pakistan are committed to provide moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir in their just struggle for their inalienable right of self-determination. The participants at the end adopted a protest resolution and condemning the violations of human rights in Kashmir and forced to U.N.O. to set-up a commission for investigation of the Indian forces crimes against the innocent Kashmiris according to International Law. They further demanded that the U.N. resolutions on Kashmir should be implemented to decide the fate of Kashmir under the supervision of the world body without any further delay. The participants also offered Fateha for the martyrs.
