Expatriate’s abducted sister recovered

As a result of concerted efforts put forth by Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab, the kidnapped sister of an expatriate Pakistani living in Spain has been recovered safely. Besides this, as much as eleven accused including eight police officials along with an SHO involved in this case, have also been arrested. 

Commissioner OPC, Punjab, Afzaal Bhatti, while giving details in this regard on Thursday, informed that an expatriate Pakistani, Shahzad Ahmed, has indulged in love-marriage with a girl of Pakistan origin in Spain. However, the family members of the girl in Pakistan got infuriated and abducted the several months pregnant sister of Shahzad Ahmed from her residence in Mohalla Islam Nagar, Mandi Bahauddin. 

OPC took the case in its hands, Additional Director General (Police Matters)/ DIG Ahmed Mubeen, personally monitored the case investigation and succeeded in safe recovery of the abducted woman within 24 hours. Commissioner OPC expounded SHO Miana Gondal, Mandi Bahauddin, and other police officials, found involved in this abduction case, have been arrested after suspension and raids are being conducted to arrest other accused as well.
