Agriculture boost

While chairing a review meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday (June 25) on the development of the agricultural sector, the prime minister directed the relevant authorities to gradually reduce taxes on agricultural machinery and tools in order to encourage farm mechanisation across the country.
It merits a mention that no new taxes are being imposed on fertilisers or agricultural pesticides in the 2025-26 federal budget. Along with these steps, increasing agricultural productivity, modernising infrastructure and facilitating access to affordable credit are all crucial for uplifting our agri-sector. These reform will increase farmers’ incomes and boost production.
