JI chief says US destroyed global peace by attacking Iran
“We must free ourselves from both America and its puppets,” says Hafiz Naeem
ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has strongly condemned US attack on Iran, stating America has destroyed global peace through its aggression.
Speaking at Youth Digital Summit organised by JI Media Cell here Hafiz Naeem criticised Pakistan government for portraying Donald Trump as a “messenger of peace,” only for him to rain bombs on Iran.
He expressed outrage over massacre of innocent Palestinians in Gaza despite presence of 8.8 million troops in Muslim countries, calling America and Israel enemies of humanity.
Saying Pakistan was not Pakistan’s friend, Naeemur Rehman stressed, “We must free ourselves from both America and its puppets”.
He asked the youth to support global movements for truth and justice through digital platforms. Young people must become digital ambassadors and take to the streets to demand their rights. “Be vigilant so that we are not sold out again”, he warned.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman inaugurated Read Maududi App, which will provide access to writings and materials related to Syed Abul A’la Maududi.
Naeemur Rehman condemned US attack on Iran, stating, “America has destroyed global peace by attacking Iran. Just yesterday, Trump claimed they would wait two weeks before taking action. At this point, US is ignoring all human and moral values. Its decline has begun, and unity is essential to counter it”.
JI leader highlighted ongoing atrocities by Israel, saying Israel has been committing genocide in Palestine for the past two years.
“Even though International Court of Justice has declared Israel guilty, no one is stopping it. Iran did not attack Israel, so why did Israel attack Iran”, he questioned.
He pointed out the grave humanitarian situation, noting, “Generations of Palestinians have been born in refugee camps, and hundreds remain imprisoned in Israeli jails”. He said Hamas’ struggle is in accordance with international law, but because of its resistance, US labels it as terrorism.
Trump, who was once called a “messenger of peace”, has dropped bombs weighing over 2000 kilograms on Iran, he said.
Hafiz Naeem said, “People of Gaza have shown the world its reflection. Despite Muslim countries having an army of 8.8 million, children in Gaza are being martyred daily”, he noted.
Head of JI Media Cell Salman Sheikh said Jamaat-e-Islami has the most organised youth, saying they want to make the youth voice of Pakistan and Islam.
Secretary General Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami, Humaira Tariq, said youth are future of the country. They want to do a lot for Pakistan. She was addressing Youth Digital Summit at the Convention Centre. Humaira Tariq said the oppressed people of Gaza have written a new chapter in history with their sacrifices.
