Infantino endorses Pakistan’s vision
LAHORE: FIFA President Gianni Infantino met with newly elected Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Syed Mohsen Gilani on the sidelines of the FIFA Club World Cup in Miami, reaffirming FIFA’s commitment to supporting football development in Pakistan.
Infantino congratulated Gilani and the new PFF Executive Committee, commending the renewed administrative momentum within Pakistan’s football governance. Emphasizing the country’s untapped potential, the FIFA President expressed strong optimism about Pakistan’s role in global football’s evolving landscape.
He also accepted an official invitation to visit Pakistan, with the trip to be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. Infantino encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate with the new leadership, highlighting the need for unified efforts to elevate the sport. President Gilani conveyed his gratitude for the warm welcome and outlined his ambitious roadmap for football revival in Pakistan.
