Clerk murdered by robbers on resistance

LAHORE:A 55-year old man was gunned down by robbers in the limits of Ravi Road police.
According to police sources, the incident occurred near a private bank when the victim, identified as Qari Iftikhar, a clerk employed by a broker, was en route to deposit Rs1.7 million. As he approached the bank, two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle, one of whom was wearing a helmet, attempted to rob him. When Iftikhar resisted, the suspects opened fire, fatally wounding him. He died on the spot. The robbers fled without managing to take the cash. Police registered a case.
