LAHORE: Punjab police has to move from safe city to the concept of smart city to ensure security of people's lives and property. "It requires better yet invisible surveillance and enhanced monitoring through security cameras instead of setting up pickets or patrolling on the streets," SSP VVIP Security Lahore Tariq Aziz said this while speaking at a session on "Challenges of Improved Security in Cities" organised by National Vision Think Tank (NVTT) here at a local hotel on Saturday.
SSP VVIP Security Lahore said that the police system must keep up with latest advancements and equip themselves with modern requirements in order to provide justice to the people. Brig (retd) Shafi Ghazi said that Pakistan has been fighting against enemies on many fronts at the same time especially in the context of Pakistan-India war and recent Israel's attack on Iran.
"We, the Pakistanis, must unite and support the army," he added. Brig (retd) Shafi Ghazi, M. Ahsan, Bilal Mehmood Butt, M Amer, Hamza Chaudhry, Ramazan Sheikh, Saba Mumtaz, Usman Faiz, Afzal Abbasi, Ans Zia, Jamshed Khan and Abdul Rahman Butt were present.
