On the instructions of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, it has been proposed to increase the higher education budget in Sindh from Rs42 billion to Rs50 billion for the financial year 2025-26.

For the last four years, the higher education budget in Sindh has been increasing continuously. The budget of the Sindh High Education Commission has increased from Rs8 billion to Rs 14 billion, then to Rs24 billion, which was increased to Rs 42 billion last year. Now it has been proposed to increase it to Rs50 billion.

In this way, the budget of the Sindh Higher Education Commission will be more than that of the Federal Higher Education Commission, whose budget has been reduced from Rs65 billion to Rs49.5 billion.
