The Sindh government has taken strict notice of a report carried by Daily Jang and The News on May 15 regarding the Federal Higher Education Commission sending vice chancellors to Rabat with public funds.
In a letter written by Sindh HEC Chairman Dr Tariq Rafi to the vice chancellors from his office, an advisory was issued to the vice chancellors/rectors of all government universities in Sindh, advising them not to travel abroad with public funds and saying that if any such case is reported, a formal report will be given to the controlling authority, chief minister of Sindh. The May 15 report had raised the issue of vice chancellors invited to the Rabat Forum in Morocco.
