According to police, more than 1500 people in Karachi lost their lives in target killing incidents this year. The city stands divided on a sectarian and ethnic basis. No-go areas still exist in the. Several traders are forced to close their businesses after increasing force donations calls by different political groups.
Unfortunately due to political interests, the government is silent and only taking cosmetic steps to calm down Karachi down. Until the government is ready to arrest and punish all criminals and remove politically appointed security personnel, the dream of peace cannot come true in Karachi. The citizens of Karachi must promote a culture of tolerance if we are to put a stop to such activities.
