Islamabad: A condolence reference was held on Monday at the Islamabad Model Postgraduate College, H-8, to remember the late Professor Waqas Aziz, Principal of Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Commerce, H-8/4, who passed away last Tuesday.

The solemn ceremony began with Quran Khawani, as faculty members, students, and staff gathered to pray for the departed soul. The attendees included serving and retired principals, professors, and non-teaching staff from various institutions, all united in grief and respect for the late educator.

Speakers paid glowing tributes to Professor Waqas Aziz, remembering him with deep condolence as a tireless and dedicated educationist whose contributions to the academic community were truly remarkable. Retired Principal Professor Farhad Khan Khalil recalled personal memories from the early days of their careers when they shared the same hostel, highlighting the late professor’s integrity, humility, and commitment.

Speaking on behalf of the teaching community, President of the Federal Government College Teachers Association Professor Akram Khan Khosa remembered Professor Aziz as a man of principles, discipline, and devotion. He urged educators to draw inspiration from his legacy and uphold the values he stood for. The condolence reference concluded with a collective prayer led by Professor Dr. Habibullah Chishti, seeking eternal peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.
