I extend my heartiest congratulations and facilitations to COAS General Syed Asim Munir on his well-deserved promotion to the prestigious rank of field marshal. His exceptional leadership and distinguished services to the nation crushed the enemy’s nefarious designs and brought great honour to the motherland.

This is not only a personal achievement, but a great tribute to the armed forces and the people of Pakistan. The government should also confer awards on officers, soldiers and civilians who played a vital role during the operation.
