Man shot dead in targeted killing

LAHORE:A 35-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified assailants while sleeping on the rooftop of his house in Shahdara.

The victim was identified as Jamshed. The assailants managed to escape. Initial investigations suggest the murder could be linked to an old enmity, though officials say they are exploring all angles. “The manner of attack indicates a targeted killing,” a Shahdara police official said. “We have begun inquiries from the victim’s family and neighbours, and evidence from the crime scene is being collected.”
