Participants from across the city arrived in convoys and small rallies, merging into one massive demonstration
KARACHI: A rally titled ‘Tahaffuz-e-Pakistan’ was held under the aegis of the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) in Karachi on Friday with participation from thousands of workers belonging to various political and religious parties who held national flags and raised slogans in support for the Pakistan Army.
Addressing the rally, GDA leaders Dr Safdar Abbasi, Sardar Abdul Rahim, JUI’s Qari Usman and MQM’s Adnan Khan declared Modi an enemy of regional peace. They said the Pakistani nation stood united like a wall alongside its armed forces.
The rally was held in front of the Karachi Press Club. Participants from across the city arrived in convoys and small rallies, merging into one massive demonstration. Dr Abbasi said the nation was ready to make any sacrifice for the protection of the homeland. We stand with our armed forces and are ready to fight alongside them on every front,” he said.
