Police smash child kidnapping racket within shortest possible time
Islamabad:In a swift and decisive operation, the Islamabad Police have successfully recovered a three-year-old child who was abducted from the bustling Centaurus Mall. The abduction, which fell under the jurisdiction of the Margalla Police Station, triggered an immediate and intensive response from law enforcement, culminating in the child’s safe return and the arrest of the alleged female kidnapper, hailing from Charsadda, with her two male aides, believed to be involved in multiple similar incidents.
The recovery marks a significant victory for the Islamabad Police and brings a wave of relief to the distraught family and the wider community, which remains vigilant against the sinister threat of child abduction. Sadly, this incident echoes the chilling reality of organised gangs preying on vulnerable children, a crime that has left an indelible scar on communities worldwide. Cases such as the notorious petit family murders in the United States and the persistent issues of child trafficking in various parts of South Asia serve as stark reminders of the devastating impact of such heinous acts.
According to police sources, the swift apprehension of the female suspect was the result of diligent efforts and the effective utilization of modern technology, including Safe City cameras, coupled with astute human intelligence. The ongoing investigation is expected to yield significant revelations regarding the extent of the suspect’s involvement and potential accomplices.
The emotional reunion between the recovered child and the parents was facilitated by SSP CTD, who arranged a video call shortly after the rescue. Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, the parents expressed their profound appreciation for the unwavering dedication and efficiency of the Islamabad Police.
The gravity of the situation and the commendable success of the police operation were underscored by a visit from Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to the DIG Islamabad office, where he personally met the recovered child. Recognizing the exceptional efforts of the entire team, IG Islamabad lauded the contributions of DIG Islamabad, SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SSP CTD, and SP CIA. Special praise was also reserved for CIA In-charge Suleman Shah and his dedicated team.
In a gesture of appreciation and recognition, IG Islamabad announced commendations and cash rewards for all the officers involved in this successful operation. This successful recovery serves as a testament to the Islamabad Police's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens, particularly the most vulnerable. It sends a strong message to criminal elements involved in child abduction that their actions will be met with swift and decisive action.
The community now holds its breath, awaiting further details from the ongoing investigation, hoping that it will dismantle any potential network involved in these heart-wrenching crimes and bring all perpetrators to justice.
According to a press release issued by the office of DIG (Operations), Islamabad police have apprehended a three-member gang known for previous convictions. The individuals were posing as government officials to carry out their crimes. Authorities recovered looted cash, official uniforms, various equipment, and weapons with ammunition from the suspects, identified as Kashif, Haider, and Shehbaz.
A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq commended the Sambal Police team for their successful operation, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining peace in the capital and urging public vigilance.
