HANGU: The Hangu Police in collaboration with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a series of search and strike operations across various areas of the district, arresting 17 suspects, including four wanted persons.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Khalid said that the coordinated operations were carried out within the jurisdictions of City Police Station, Doaba, and Thall. The raids led to the recovery of a significant cache of illegal items, including 3 pistols, 2 rifles, 1 repeater gun, 4,000 grams of hashish, 235 grams of crystal meth (ice) and 68 rounds of mixed-bore ammunition.
The DPO reiterated the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the public. “The protection of life and property of our citizens is our top priority. We are fully utilizing all available resources to maintain peace and order. Sustainable peace is only possible through the joint efforts of police and the community,” he added.He further confirmed that operations against criminal elements would continue in the coming days.
