Addict kills daughter, injures wife

GUJRANWALA: An addict killed his daughter and wife for not giving money to purchase drugs here on Thursday.

Tariq, a resident of Garjakh, was an addict. He was also jobless. On the day of the incident, he demanded money from his wife Afshan for purchasing heroin but she refused. It infuriated him and he allegedly attacked Afshan with a knife and injured her. When his daughter Ruqayyia came to rescue Afshan, the accused also injured her. They were shifted to the DHQ Hospital where Ruqayyia died. Police have arrested the accused and started investigation.
