Heavy rain provides much-needed relief
Rawalpindi
A heavy rain in early Tuesday morning provided a much-needed relief to the people who have been braving a harsh heatwave in the month of Ramazan. "It was really surprising to see heavy rain at the Sehri time that turned the weather pleasant.
The positive effects of rain can be seen as the people are busier in their work even at the day time," said Khaliq Ahmad, a resident of Sadiqabad. He said it has been a very nice day and it is a blessing to enjoy such weather in the month of June, adding "The weather conditions have become so unpredictable that one can never guess what can be going to happen in next few hours." The rain that lasted only for half an hour in Rawalpindi also forced the customers of the local hotels to find some appropriate place to enjoy food at the Sehri time.
Most of the hotels place chairs and tables in the open to accommodate the customers who arrive in large number especially at the Sehri time. Kashif Khan, a student who lives in a hostel in Commercial Market, said the rain started as soon as they visited the hotel so all the people who were sitting outside rushed towards inside the hotel where there was not enough place to manage the rush.
