Salman for Pakistan Movement-like spirit for growth
LAHORE:Punjab Minister for Health and Emergency Services Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that Pakistan Day is a golden chapter in the country’s history, and even today, the spirit of the Pakistan Movement is needed for the development of the nation.
In his message on Pakistan Day, observed on Sunday, he paid tribute to the elders of the Muslim League who passed the Pakistan Resolution in 1940, stating that the same determination is required today to steer the country towards progress.
‘Quaid PML-N Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan invincible by the grace of Allah Almighty. Today, we must pass a new resolution against terrorism, corruption, poverty, and unemployment,’ he stated, urging leaders to set aside personal interests and work collectively for the national development.
He also prayed for strength to follow in the footsteps of the great founders of Pakistan.
Highlighting ongoing efforts for public welfare, Salman Rafique said that the journey of serving the people is continuing under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. He also praised the policies of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that they saved Pakistan from default.
He further announced that Asia’s largest Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cancer Treatment and Research is being established in Lahore, along with state-of-the-art Nawaz Sharif Institutes of Cardiology in Lahore and Sargodha.Additionally, efforts are under way to improve government hospitals to ensure better healthcare facilities for the people.
