Meals programme to be extended to all schools
Islamabad: In a groundbreaking move to support the health and well-being of young learners, the education ministry announced that the School Meals programme will be extended to all model schools and primary sections from April 15.
Officials said the initiative, designed to provide nutritious and balanced meals, aimed to ensure that every student has the energy and focus needed to thrive academically. They said by making healthy food accessible, the programme directly supported students’ physical well-being and fosters an environment where they can perform at their best in the classroom.
The officials said with a strong commitment to student health and overall well-being, the ministry was proud to take this monumental step towards enhancing nutrition and improving student performance across the board. They said the initiative marked a significant milestone in efforts to create healthier, more vibrant learning environments for all schoolchildren.
