Three barbers gunned down in Panjgur

Bodies were shifted to district hospital Panjgur for completing medico-legal formalities and will be sent to their native towns

QUETTA: Three barbers belonging to the Sindh province have been gunned down by unknown armed men in Panjgur district of Balochistan on Sunday night.

Police said that the tragic incident took place in Gowargo area of Panjgur district where armed men attacked a barber shop in the small village and killed three barbers sitting in their shop late evening.

“All the three barbers sitting inside the shop were killed on the spot after receiving multiple bullet injuries,” a police officer said, adding the armed men were riding motorcycles and later escaped.

The bodies were shifted to district hospital Panjgur for completing medico-legal formalities and will be sent to their native towns. Police termed the incident a target killing and said that a case has been registered against unknown people. All the three deceased belonged to Sindh province and were identified as Abdul Sattar, Zubair Ahmed, residents of Mirpur Khas, and Muhammad Zaman, a resident of Jacobabad. They were running their barber shop in Gowargo for the last many years. Further investigation was in progress. No one has claimed responsibility immediately for the killings.
