KARACHI: Pakistan’s tennis ace Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his Wimbledon partner Marcelo Fedrizzi Demoliner have reached the semi-finals of Aegon Ilkley Trophy.

The second seed pair defeated the unseeded Indian pair of Purav Raja and Divij Sharan 7-5, 6-4 in the quarter-finals.

Earlier, they had defeated the unseeded pair of Sander Arends from the Netherlands and Tristan-Samuel Weissborn from Austria 7-6(5), 6-4 in the first round of this €42,500 grass court challenger event.

Aisam is participating in this challenger event because he missed two ATP-500 grass court events, Gerry Weber Open in Halle, Germany, and Aegon Championships, for want of partner.
