PHF’s website to show Hockey-5 matches
KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will link the live coverage of Hockey-5 championship to its website Pakistanfedration.com.
This will allow hockey fans across the world to watch the Pakistani players in action. Besides, it will help boost traffic at the federation’s website.
The sources in PHF said that arrangements for live coverage were being made.
The five-a-side tournament, sponsored by OGDCL, starts from Saturday (today) at Lahore’s National Hockey Stadium.
Three matches will be played daily, beginning at 10:30 pm, 11:30 pm and 12:30 am.
On June 21, three fun matches will be played: Veterans vs under-14 girls; between two teams of under-14 boys; and between kids from Rising Sun Institute for Special Children.
On June 23, to be celebrated as the Olympic Day, there will be three exhibition matches, involving families, renowned TV celebrities, sportspeople of other disciplines, media personnel and former Olympians.
All the national stars except a few playing in the Bangladesh league will be in action. The teams are managed by former Olympians.
