2 killed in Bannu firing incident
BANNU: Two persons were killed when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on them on Miryan Road.Officials said the armed men signaled a motorcycle to stop and upon refusal, the assailants opened fire, instantly killing both riders.
The police arrived at the scene and transported the bodies to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, where the deceased were identified as Maqsood and Taqveem.Police officials said that the armed men attempted to stop the motorcycle, and upon non-compliance, fired shots, resulting in the deaths of both individuals.
The families of the deceased have demanded that a formal FIR be registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Police have launched an investigation and efforts are underway to track down the perpetrators.
