Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori on Monday wrote a letter to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah expressing concern over reckless driving by trucks and water tankers in Karachi causing road accidents.

In the letter, the governor highlighted the alarming increase in traffic violations and accidents over the past few months. He called for the formation of a high-level commission under the chief secretary to identify the root causes and ensure legal action against those responsible.

He further stressed the need for an effective strategy to prevent such incidents in the future, stating that public anxiety and safety concerns were at an all-time high. Tessori asked the government to take immediate and effective measures to ensure the protection of the citizens' lives.

Meanwhile, the governor emphasised the crucial role of tourism in national development in his message on World Tourism Day. He stated that progress without tourism was unimaginable, as it served as the backbone of the economy and guaranteed prosperity.

He highlighted that Pakistan, particularly Sindh, offered countless opportunities for tourism, and a strong tourism sector could play a pivotal role in economic growth and national progress. He invited the world to witness the unmatched beauty of Pakistan and Sindh, stressing that tourism development was a top priority for the government, as it unlocked pathways to prosperity.
