Wapda bowled out for 391 on day 2
KARACHI: Wapda were bowled out for 391 runs in the first innings on second day of the seventh round of the President’s Trophy Grade-1 match against Eshaal Associates here at the NBP Sports Complex.
The highlights of the day included century of Nabi Gul from Wapda and the excellent performance by Shahid Aziz of KRL as well as by Tahir Hussain who took six wickets for Eshal Associates.
Ayaz Tasawwur , who was not out on 113 runs the previous day, was dismissed for 139 runs. Eshaal Associates scored 208-6 in their first innings at the end of the game. Abdullah Shafiq scored 93 (not out). Aqib Khan took 4-59.
OGDCL were also bowled out for 238 runs in their first innings against KRL at the UBL Sports Complex. Sardar Hassan Raza was the top scorer with 71 runs. In reply, KRL team was bowled out for 174 runs in the first innings. Waqar Ahmed was the top scorer with 41 runs. OGDCL scored 70 runs for one wicket in their second innings.
At the KCCA Stadium, PTV were bowled out for 425 runs in the first innings against Higher Education. Waqar Hussain (84), Shamil Hussain (76), Salman Khan (77), Taimur Khan (58) and Ali Usman (51) were the prominent run-getters.
Higher Education made 179 runs in the first innings. Ali Hamza scored 63 runs. Higher Education scored 42-1 in the second innings after being forced to follow-on. SNGPL hit 270 runs in the first innings against Ghani Glass at the State Bank Stadium. Saifullah Bangash scored 107 runs. Ghani Glass were 272-5 at the end of the match. Ali Razzaq was not out on 90. Hammad Butt was out on 61.
